Elevate MENA Symposium 2026

The Elevate MENA Symposium 2026 takes place on 6 October 2026 at Abu Dhabi University’s Al Ain Campus. It is organised by Advance HE in partnership with Abu Dhabi University.
The one-day symposium brings together university leaders, educators and institutional partners to look at how Fellowship and the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) can support teaching excellence and staff development in higher education across the MENA region.
Programme highlights
- Welcome by Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University
- Keynote by Louise Lumsden (Advance HE) on the PSF across the four categories of Fellowship
- Panel on staff development and recognition for institutional transformation
- Members-only workshop for directors of teaching and learning on using the PSF to deliver educational excellence
- Parallel sessions with institutional case studies
- Panel on aligning individual practice and professional development with the PSF, chaired by Professor Barry O’Mahony, Provost of Abu Dhabi University
- Closing ceremony recognising teaching excellence, with certificates awarded
